What is Life Coaching?
Coaching is an interactive partnership designed to help you produce fulfilling results in your personal and professional life. I work with clients in all areas of their lives including, career, finances, health, relationships, and personal growth. As a result of coaching, you will set better goals, take more action, make better decisions, and more fully use your natural strengths.
The focus of a coaching relationship is on you, the client, on where you are now, what you want in your life, and on what you are willing to do to achieve it. You choose the focus of the conversation, while I listen and contribute observations and questions to assist you in achieving your desired life changes and goals. Coaching provides you with focus, structure, and support. It increases your motivation through encouragement and by dealing with procrastination and self-limiting behavior, it's about trading in behaviors and beliefs that don't support you for new ones that do.
The best way to fully understand Life Coaching is to experience a session. I offer complimentary coaching sessions so you have an opportunity to experience coaching before making this life-altering commitment to yourself and your success.

Individuals who engage in a coaching relationship can expect to experience fresh perspectives on personal challenges and opportunities, enhanced thinking and decision making skills, enhanced interpersonal effectiveness, and increased confidence in carrying out their chosen work and life roles. They can also expect to see results in the areas of productivity, personal satisfaction with life and work, and the achievement of personally relevant goals.
How does the coaching relationship work?
Coaching typically begins with a personal interview (the discovery session) to assess your current opportunities and challenges, define the scope of the relationship, identify priorities for action, and establish specific desired outcomes. During this session you will have the opportunity to let me know how you want to be coached. We will set some initial parameters of our coaching relationship and we will discuss how coaching will work best into your schedule. Between scheduled coaching sessions, you may be asked to complete specific actions that support the achievement of your goals. I may provide additional resources in the form of relevant articles, checklists, assessments, or models, to support your thinking and actions. The length of the coaching relationship varies depending on your personal needs and preferences, but typically an initial three month commitment is made to the coaching process. Throughout, I will maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and adhere to the coaching profession’s code of ethics.
In the coaching relationship, my role as your coach is to:

- be a sounding board in support of thoughtful planning and decision making
- champion opportunities and potential
- encourage you to stretch and challenge yourself
- encourage you to consider shifts in thinking that result in fresh perspectives
- challenge blind spots in order to see new possibilities
- hold you in your magnificence when you lose sight of it
Your role as client is to:
- create the coaching agenda based on personally meaningful coaching goals
- be willing to explore in order to enhance your self-awareness
- assume full responsibility for personal decisions and actions
- use the coaching process to promote fresh perspectives
- take courageous action in alignment with personal goals, aspirations, and values
- engage big picture thinking and problem solving skills, and utilize the tools, concepts, models and principles provided by me to engage effective forward actions.
